Welcome to my NONprofit knitting atelier.
Hi, I’m Kim, a free-time fiber artist in Philadelphia. Bertolette Craft Outfitting is my personal project to engage in the slow fashion movement while using my hobby for good. Have a look around to learn more!

Bertolette Craft Outfitting is named in honor of my late grandmother who taught me how to knit as she made donations for local charities. Continuing in that same spirit, I donate 100% of the proceeds from:
selling my knitting patterns on Ravelry
vending at local markets
custom knitwear commissions
to local causes here in Philly.
Donations are forwarded on a rolling basis. I keep detailed records and receipts of all my activities and donations, and will post seasonal progress reports here and on my Instagram beginning this summer. Stay tuned!

While I do not have an online store, you can shop my ready-to-wear knits for sale at this upcoming market:

Are you looking to order a custom knit? Here’s a quick overview of what the process entails:
Get inspired. Browse the Portfolio and Inspiration pages for ideas — take note of any particular designers or elements that catch your eye!
Submit your commission request. When you’re ready, you’ll fill out a brief request form so we can discuss budget, timeline, and other planning details.
Choose your design. We’ll work together to select the perfect pattern, yarn, and sizing to fit your vision. You’ll pay a deposit for the cost of the yarn and any other materials to be ordered.
Stay tuned. Once the yarn arrives, the knitting begins! Keep an eye out for progress updates on my ig (@bertolette.co) in the meantime. When your project is complete, you’ll pay the balance of the labor cost (100% donated to local causes we’ll have discussed), plus any shipping.
Wear it with pride. Your custom knit will not only be handmade with quality materials and meticulous construction, but a love of the craft and spirit of generosity imbued in every stitch. Enjoy it in coziness & adventure alike for years to come.
